Hearing “we had flashbacks of Colerain” from the Deputy Chief was not something I wanted to hear! It gives me chills when they talk about spongy floors and air horns.
Thank the good Lord everyone got out ok. Wish I could have expressed the importance of this… but most of those folks dont really understand….
Check out the VIDEO here.
On a personal note, I’ll very much miss Chief Leininger’s mom, and of course his father, Blackie, who passed several years ago.
Both of his parents practically adopted their whole neighborhood, and even me.
She will be greatly missed, but I’m sure is with her love. My sincere condolences to all those who love them both.
What kind of criminal leads the police and rangers on a chase right past the police station???

Deja vu all over again. Colerain firefighters return to the Great Miami River to rescue more teen boys who got stuck in the river trying to canoe in dangerous water! Crosby rescued 2 from a sand bar this time. Miami Twp worked with Colerain yesterday.
Thankfully, again, everyone made it out safe. Hey guys, if you do any water rescue training coming up – let me know!
Hopefully we can get some Pub Ed out there with a video!
Be safe all! And next time maybe try to schedule during my shift….
I had the pleasure of being on hand while the Hamilton County Police Association Honor Guard trained. The group is made up of officers both working and retired from about 20 departments throughout the area who dedicate their time and energy to honor their fellow officers and their loved ones when they pass, as well as serving their communities.
Wow, is all I can say. The dedication and crispness and honor that these folks bring to this important duty is really a great thing to witness. I’ll post a few photos soon, knowing they don’t do this group justice, but really appreciating all the hard work and amazing attitude they bring.
Thank you guys for allowing me to be there.
I would like to extend a special thank you to the Marines of the 4th Division and their loved ones. Click the left or right side of the large photo to go to previous or next image.
Thank you for your service! Be safe out there!

Anyone working, or not working, have storm damage to deal with? The wind and horizontal rain blew through home like a freight train in Kansas but was gone quick as a wink. One of our photo gals and her new family took cover in their basement in Loveland, saying it was scary there for sure.
